Angels edge Tigers
The LA Angels scored twice in the ninth inning to defeat the Detroit Tigers 2-1 Friday night in the opener of a three-game set at Comerica Park.
LA won the game as +160 underdogs, while the three runs went UNDER the posted over/under (8.5).
Juan Rivera and Howie Kendrick drove in the runs for the Angels. Ervin Santana tossed 8 2-3 innings for the win, and Brian Fuentes recorded the final out to secure the victory.
Magglio Ordonez had two hits and drove in the only run for the Tigers. Fernando Rodney allowed both runs in the ninth and was saddled with the loss.
