Tigers tear down Royals
The Detroit Tigers pounded out 16 hits in cruising to a 10-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals Saturday night at Comerica Park.
Detroit won the game as a -230 favorite, and the 13 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5).
Miguel Cabrera went 4-for-5 at the plate with a two-run homer and three RBIs. Edwin Jackson allowed nine hits and three runs over six innings in picking up his ninth win.
Brayan Pena went 2-for-4 at the plate for the Royals with a solo home run. Luke Hochevar gave up 12 hits and six runs over four innings in the loss.
