Blue Jays nip Tigers

The Toronto Blue Jays opened their four-game series Friday with a 6-4 victory over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.

Toronto won the game as +150 underdogs, while the 10 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9.5).

Randy Ruiz belted a two-run homer to lead the Blue Jays at the plate. Brian Tallet whiffed seven batters over 6 1-3 innings to earn the victory.

Ryan Raburn went 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs for the Tigers. Nate Robertson gave up six hits and two runs over 3 2-3 innings in the loss.
