Podsednik, Royals double Tigers

Scott Podsednik was 4-for-5 with three runs batted in to lead the Kansas City Royals past the Detroit Tigers 10-5 on Monday.

Jose Guillen went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer for the Royals, as Luke Hochevar gave up four earned runs over five innings to get the win for Kansas City.

Brandon Inge was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Detroit, while losing pitcher Max Scherzer allowed two earned runs over five innings for the Tigers.
