Yankees double Royals for sweep

Alex Rodriguez belted a two-run homer to lead the New York Yankees in a 6-3 win over the Kansas City Royals Sunday at Kauffman Stadium.

New York won the game as -200 favorites, while the combined nine runs were just UNDER the posted over/under (9.5).

Rodriguez finished 2-for-5 at the plate, and Jorge Posada also drove in two runs for the Yankees. Chien-Ming Wang allowed five hits and three runs over seven innings for the win, and Mariano Rivera tossed a scoreless ninth for his 25th save.

Alex Gordon cleared the bases with a three-run double for the Royals. Brandon Duckworth surrendered two runs in relief to suffer the loss.
