Cards fly past Royals
The St. Louis Cardinals scored four runs in the ninth inning to seal a 7-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Saturday.
St. Louis won the game as -160 favorites, while the eight runs went as a PUSH against the posted over/under (8).
Khalil Greene belted a three-run homer, and Albert Pujols hit a two-run dinger for the Cardinals. Chris Carpenter allowed just three hits and one run over 7 2-3 innings for the win, and Ryan Franklin notched his 17th save.
Willie Bloomquist drove in the lone run for the Royals. Brian Bannister surrendered six hits and three runs over eight innings in the loss.
