Tigers tear apart Royals
Curtis Granderson and Gerald Laird hit two-run homers to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 9-1 rout of the Kansas City Royals Saturday night at Kauffman Stadium.
Detroit won the game as +105 underdogs, and the 10 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9.5).
Placido Polanco and Josh Anderson also drove in two runs for the Tigers. Zach Miner tossed five innings for the win, allowing just three hits and one run.
Mike Jacobs drove in the lone run for the Royals, while Kyle Davies was rocked for eight hits and seven runs in the loss.
