Tigers get past Royals

Brandon Inge clubbed a two-run home run Sunday, as the Detroit Tigers defeated the Kansas City Royals 3-2.

The Tigers were a -150 favorite in the game and the five runs scored fell UNDER the posted over/under total (9.5).

Josh Anderson was 3-3 with a run scored for the Detroit, while Armando Galarraga improved to 3-0 after allowing one run on three hits with seven strikeouts in six innings.

Mike Aviles hit a solo home run for Kansas City and Sidney Ponson gave up three runs on six hits in eight innings to take the loss.
