Royals take series from Jays
The Kansas City Royals handed Toronto their first series loss of the season, by defeating the Blue Jays 8-6 in the series finale of a four-game set at Kauffman Stadium Thursday afternoon.
Kansas City won the game as -130 favorites, and the 14 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (10).
John Buck went 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in five runs to lead the Royals. Kyle Davies tossed 5 2-3 innings for the win, and Juan Cruz closed out the ninth for his first save.
Adam Lind belted a two-run homer for the Blue Jays. Brian Burres failed to get into the win column, as he surrendered six runs over two innings.
