Alberto Callaspo homered and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Kansas City Royals in a 7-4 victory over the Detroit Tigers Thursday afternoon for a sweep of the three-game set at Kauffman Stadium.
Kansas City won the game as +160 underdogs, but the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).
Yuniesky Betancourt also drove in two runs for the Royals. Roman Colon tossed just over one inning of relief for the win, and Carlos Rosa notched his first save.
Wilkin Ramirez went 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI and two runs scored. Zach Miner surrendered five hits and three runs in taking the loss.
