Despite giving up five runs in the eighth inning Wednesday, the Kansas City Royals held on for a 7-6 win over the Chicago White Sox in the series rubber match at Kauffman Stadium.

Zack Greinke pitched eight innings for the win, giving up 10 hits and six runs.

Tony Pena gave up three runs in relief and was tagged the White Sox loss.
