Liriano pitches gem as Twins hammer Devil Rays

Francisco Liriano pitched a complete-game allowing just three hits as his Minnesota Twins defeated the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 8-1 Tuesday night.

Minnesota won the game as a huge -190 favorite at home, while the final score made it OVER the posted over/under (7.5).

Nick Punto went 2-3 with three RBI in the win as the Twins win for the second straight game over Tampa Bay.

Rocco Baldelli collected one hit in four trips to the plate in the loss, driving in the lone run.

Liriano got his 11th victory of the season, giving up three hits in a complete-game win. Scott Kazmir, another young left-hander, suffered the loss to fall to 10-7 on the season.
