Jarrod Washburn scattered five hits over eight shutout innings Thursday, as the Seattle Mariners defeated the Minnesota Twins 2-0 and earned a split of the four-game series at the Metrodome.

Seattle won the game as +125 underdogs, while the team’s played UNDER the posted over/under (9).

Adrian Beltre went 2-for-2 at the plate with one RBI for the Mariners. Brandon Morrow pitched the ninth to earn his first save of the season.

Glen Perkins allowed only one run over eight innings, but was slapped with the loss.
