Dustin Pedroia' sacrifice fly drove in the other run for the Red Sox. Josh Beckett tossed a gem of a game, allowing just three hits and one run over seven innings of work.
Joe Crede went deep in a losing effort for the Twins. Anthony Swarzak surrendered three runs off five hits over six innings on the mound.
