Derek Jeter led the way for the New York Yankees in a 7-3 beating of the Texas Rangers at Yankee Stadium Saturday afternoon.

New York won as a -167 home favorite while the final score played OVER the 9.5-run total.

Jeter finished the day going 3-for-4 with two RBI in the leadoff spot. Starter A.J. Burnett was solid through six innings of work, giving up only six hits while striking out seven batters.

The Rangers got three RBI from outfielder Nelson Cruz, who went 1-for-3 with home run in the eighth inning to snap the shutout. Starter Scott Feldman lasted just over two innings after giving up four runs on seven hits.
