Yankees fend off Orioles

The New York Yankees held off a late surge and completed a three-game sweep of the Baltimore Orioles with a 7-5 victory in the series finale Wednesday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.

New York won the game as -300 favorites, and the 12 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9.5) set by sportsbooks.

Andy Pettitte allowed just one run off six hits and improved to 4-0 with the win. Alfredo Aceves foiled a late rally to pick up his first save.

David Hernandez was rocked for six earned runs over 3 2-3 innings in suffering the loss.
