Johnson powers A’s past Rangers

Dan Johnson hit two home runs on Saturday, to lead the Oakland A’s to a 7-3 win over the Texas Rangers at McAfee Coliseum.

Oakland won the game as -160 favorites, while the 10 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).

Johnson finished 3-for-4 with four RBIs in the win, and Joe Blanton allowed five hits and three runs over seven innings for his 14th victory.

David Murphy was 2-for-4 with one RBI for the Rangers. Brandon McCarthy was tagged for three hits and two runs over three innings in the loss.
