Reds destroy Mariners

David Ross hit two of Cincinnati's five homers on Friday, driving in five runs to lead the Reds to a 16-1 dismantling of the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field.

The Reds were road favorites at -120, and the 17 runs scored were OVER the posted total of 9.

Aaron Harang (8-2) allowed a run on two hits in eight innings, and Brandon Phillips also homered twice with three RBIs for the Reds.

Ryan Feierabend (1-2) was rocked for nine runs on six hits in just 2 2-3 innings, while Willie Bloomquist drove in the lone Seattle run.
