Rays edge Nationals

Gabe Kapler belted a game-winning home run in the bottom the eighth inning to lift the Tampa Bay Rays to a 4-3 win over the Washington Nationals Friday night.

Tampa Bay won the game as -240 favorites, while the seven runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9).

Dioner Navarro had two hits and drove in one run for the Rays. J.P. Howell evened his record at 2-2 with the victory in relief.

Adam Dunn went 2-for-2 at the plate with one RBI for the Nationals. Ron Villone gave up the winning run and suffered the loss on the mound.
