Rays edge Indians
The Tampa Bay Rays held off a late push from the Cleveland Indians to capture a 4-2 win at Tropicana Field Saturday.
Tampa Bay won as a -175 home favorite while the final score played under the 9.5-run total.
The Rays got a solid outing from pitcher Matt Garza, who went six innings and allowed two runs on six hits. B.J. Upton knocked his second home run of the season while Carl Crawford went 2-for-4 with a triple.
Indians first baseman Victor Martinez continued his hot hitting, going 3-for-4. Starter Carl Pavano pitched five innings, giving up three runs on six hits.
