Rays edge Royals for sweep

The Tampa Bay Rays completed a three-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals with a 3-2 victory in the series finale Thursday at Tropicana Field.

Tampa Bay won the game as -170 favorites, while the five runs went UNDER the posted over/under (8).

B.J. Upton belted a game-winning two-run homer to lead the Rays. James Shields picked up the win, and J.P. Howell tossed a scoreless ninth for his second save.

Billy Butler went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs for the Royals. Jamey Wright surrendered two runs in relief and took the loss on the hill.
