Rays nip Rangers in extra inning
Carlos Pena belted two home runs and drove in the winning run to lift the Tampa Bay Rays to a 5-4 victory over the Texas Rangers in 10 innings Saturday night.
Tampa Bay won this game as a -170 favorites, while the nine runs went as a PUSH against the posted over/under (9).
Pena finished 2-for-4 at the plate with four runs batted in. Grant Balfour improved to 5-2 with a scoreless ninth inning on the mound.
Michael Young homered and drove in a pair of runs for the Rangers. Jason Grilli surrendered the winning run and was tagged with the loss.
