Rays nip Indians in extra innings

Jason Bartlett's fielder's choice in the bottom of the 11th inning lifted the Tampa Bay Rays past the Cleveland Indians 4-3 on Monday night.

Tampa Bay cashed as -195 home favorites, while the teams played UNDER the 8.5-run total listed by oddsmakers.

Carl Crawford and Hank Blalock were both 2-for-5 with a run batted in for the Rays, as Andy Sonnanstine picked up the win in relief of Jeff Niemann for Tampa Bay.

Jhonny Peralta was 3-for-5 with with an RBI for Cleveland, while Jamey Wright was handed the loss after allowing the winning run in the bottom of the 11th.
