Rangers edge Twins
Chris Young outpitched Twins’ ace Johan Santana Sunday afternoon as the Texas Rangers defeated the Minnesota Twins 2-1.
The Rangers were a +145 underdog in the game. The three runs scored were UNDER the posted over/under total (8).
Young pitched seven shutout innings, allowing only three hits with six strikeouts in the no-decision. Santana allowed only one run on three hits over seven innings.
Hank Blalock singled in the winning run in the ninth inning off Twins’ reliever Jesse Crain.
Joe Mauer drove in the lone run for the Twins.
