Jays outlast Rockies

Curtis Thigpen scored on an error in the tenth inning on Friday, as the Toronto Blue Jays came away with a 9-8 win over the Colorado Rockies at Rogers Center.Josh Towers was chased after four innings, allowing five runs on 11 hits, and Brian Wolfe (1-0) took the victory. Troy Glaus was 1-for-3 with three RBIs for the Jays.

Jason Hirsh gave up five runs on five hits over 4 1-3 innings, and Brian Fuentes (0-1) earned the loss. Brad Hawpe went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs for the Rockies.
