Blue Jays edge Athletics

Ricky Romero pitched seven shutout innings, allowing only four hits with six strikeouts Sunday, to lead the Toronto Blue Jays past the Oakland Athletics 1-0.

Lyle Overbay drove in the Blue Jays’ lone run and B.J. Ryan picked up his second save of the season.

Dallas Braden took the loss for Oakland despite allowing only one runs on seven hits over 7 1-3 innings.
