Blue Jays soar past Rangers
The Toronto Blue Jays won their fifth straight series to begin the year Thursday, as they defeated the Texas Rangers 5-2 in the series finale at Rogers Centre.
Toronto won the game as a -110 pick’em, and the seven runs fell UNDER the posted over/under (9.5).
Alex Rios hit a two-run homer to lead the Blue Jays. Scott Richmond allowed six hits and two runs over six innings for the win, and Scott Downs collected his first save.
Josh Hamilton belted a solo home run for the Rangers, and Kevin Millwood gave up five hits and four runs over seven innings in the loss.
