Giants topple A’s
Nate Schierholtz belted a two-run homer in helping the San Francisco Giants defeat the Oakland A’s 6-3 Wednesday night in the rubber match at Oakland Coliseum.
San Francisco won the game as +105 underdogs, while the nine runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8).
Aaron Roward had two hits and drove in a run for the Giants. Randy Johnson gave up one run over seven innings with seven strikeouts to earn the victory.
Kurt Suzuki hit a solo home run and drove in both runs for the A’s. Gio Gonzalez surrendered 10 hits and six runs over 3 2-3 innings in the loss.
