Mariners nip A’s
The Seattle Mariners scored all their runs in the second inning and held on for a 5-4 victory over the Oakland A’s Friday night at McAfee Coliseum.
Seattle won the game as +135 underdogs, while the nine runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8).
Endy Chavez went 3-for-5 at the plate and drove in two runs for the Mariners. Chris Jakubauskas threw two innings of relief for the win, and David Aardsma pitched two scoreless innings for the save.
Orlando Cabrera had three hits and one RBI for the A’s. Brett Anderson gave up five runs off seven hits over six innings in the loss.
