A’s pound Royals

Landon Powell launched a grand slam home run and the Oakland A’s cruised to a 10-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals Wednesday afternoon in the rubber match.

Oakland won the game as -160 favorites, and the 14 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5).

Rajai Davis and Ryan Sweeney drove in a pair of runs for the A’s. Trevor Cahill tossed five innings for the win, allowing six hits and three runs along the way.

Mike Jacobs homered in a losing cause for the Royals. Brian Bannister gave up three runs in the first inning and suffered the loss.
