The Seattle Mariners scored four runs in the first inning en route to a 7-4 series-opening victory against the Oakland A’s Thursday night.

Seattle won the game as +120 underdogs, while the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8.5).

Bill Hall belted a two-run homer to lead the way for the Mariners. Ian Snell pitched five innings for the win, allowing seven hits and three runs.

Daric Barton homered in a losing effort for the A’s. Brett Tomko surrendered eight hits and six runs over 5 2-3 innings in the loss.
