Taylor Teagarden launched a two-run homer and the Texas Rangers defeated the Oakland A’s 5-1 Friday in the opener of a three-game series.

The Rangers won the game as -152 favorites, while the six runs went UNDER the posted over/under (6.5) set by sportsbooks.

Cliff Lee improved to 10-5 with the win, allowing seven hits and one run over his eight innings for the Rangers.

Dallas Braden gave up five hits and four runs over six innings in the A’s loss.
