A's topple Angels

Cliff Pennington hit a run-scoring single to help the Oakland A's get past the LA Angels for a second straight game, winning 3-1 Saturday afternoon.

The A's won the game as -130 favorites, while the teams played UNDER the posted over/under (6.5) set by sportsbooks.

Trevor Cahill pitched six scoreless innings for the A's win, and Andrew Bailey retired all three batters in the ninth to collect his 21st save.

Torii Hunter went deep for the Angels, while Jered Weaver gave up six hits and three runs over seven innings in the loss.
