Nationals edge Angels, avoid sweep
Jesus Flores drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Washington Nationals to a 5-4 win over the LA Angels Wednesday night at Nationals Park.
Washington won the game as +150 underdogs, while the nine runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8).
Lastings Milledge went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Nationals. Jon Rauch tossed 1 2-3 innings of relief to pick up the win.
Casey Kotchman had two hits and drove in two runs for the Angels. Scot Shields gave up the winning run in relief and was tagged with the loss.
