Cardinals rally past Nationals
The St. Louis Cardinals scored five runs in the top of the ninth inning and defeated the Washington Nationals 9-4 in Game 1 of the four-game set.
St. Louis won the game as -115 favorites, and the 13 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (10).
Albert Pujols cracked a two-run homer, and Rick Ankiel drove in two runs for the Cardinals. Chris Perez tossed under an inning in relief, but was credited with the victory.
Ryan Zimmerman belted a two-run dinger for the Nationals, while Julian Tavarez surrendered five runs off two hits in the loss.
