Reds outlast Nationals in 12 innings

The Cincinnati Reds waited for the rain to end and then prevailed 4-2 over the Washington Nationals in a 12 inning marathon Wednesday night.

Cincinnati won the game as a -110 pick’em, and the six runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9).

Jay Bruce went 2-for-4 at the plate with a two-run homer for the Reds. Nick Masset tossed the win, and David Weathers collected his first save of the season.

Josh Bard went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in one run for the Nationals. Ron Villone surrendered the winning run and was saddled with the loss.
