Conrad propels Braves over Nationals

Brooks Conrad belted a three-run homer to help lift the Atlanta Braves over the Washington Nationals 9-8 Friday night at Nationals Park.

Atlanta won the game as -125 favorites, and the combined 17 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (9.5).

Chipper Jones, Yunel Escobar, and Matt Diaz drove in a pair of runs for the Braves. Boone Logan notched the win in relief, and Rafael Soriano closed out the game with his eighth save.

Adam Dunn hit a solo home run in a losing effort for the Nationals. Jesus Colome surrendered three runs in relief in the loss.
