Nationals get even with Braves
Adam Dunn drove in two runs and the Washington Nationals scored four times in the eighth inning to defeat the Atlanta Braves 5-3 Saturday afternoon at Nationals Park.
Washington won the game as a -110 pick’em, while the eight runs went UNDER the day’s posted over/under (8.5).
Ryan Zimmerman drove in a pair of runs and scored once for the Nationals. John Lannan allowed nine hits and three runs over eight innings in the victory, while Mike MacDougal closed out the ninth with his fourth save.
Garret Anderson had two hits and drove in one run for the Braves. Mike Gonzalez gave up three runs in relief and suffered the loss.
