Nationals blank Brewers
The Washington Nationals blasted the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-0, at Nationals Park Saturday afternoon.
Washington won as a +142 home underdog while the final score played UNDER the 10-run total.
The Nats got a big day from third baseman Ryan Zimmerman, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Ivan Rodriguez had three RBI as did outfielder Justin Maxwell. Starting pitcher Livan Hernandez pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out three while allowing only four hits.
The Brewers got five innings out of starter Randy Wolf, giving up four runs on four hits over five innings. Reliever Todd Coffey didn't fare much better, allowing three runs on three hits in just an inning's worth of work.
