Royals double Indians in opener
Yuniesky Betancourt went 2-for-4 with a run batted in as the Kansas City Royals beat the Cleveland Indians 4-2 Thursday night in the opener of a four-game series at Progressive Field.
The Royals won the game as +130 underdogs, while the six runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9.5) set by sportsbooks.
Sean O’Sullivan gave up four hits and two runs over six innings for the win, while Joakim Soria closed out the ninth for his 41st save.
Mitch Talbot was tagged with the Indians loss, allowing five hits and three runs over five innings.
