Hunter, Rangers topple Tigers

Tommy Hunter allowed only one run over seven innings to earn the win, as the Texas Rangers dropped the Detroit Tigers 5-2 on Monday night.

Texas won as -140 home favorites as the teams played UNDER the 9.5-run total set by sportsbooks.

Hank Blalock knocked in two runs for the Rangers, while Michael Young was 3-for-4 with a solo shot for Texas.

Curtis Granderson went 3-for-5 with a big fly for Detroit, as losing pitcher Armando Galarraga allowed four runs over seven innings for the Tigers.
