Marlins nip Mets in rubber match
The Florida Marlins rallied with two runs in the eighth inning and edged the New York Mets 4-3 Wednesday afternoon in the series finale at Shea Stadium.
Florida won the game as +165 underdogs, and the seven runs went UNDER the posted over/under (7.5).
Cody Ross drove in two runs to lead the Marlins, and Leo Nunez picked up the win in relief.
Fernando Tatis went 3-for-4 at the plate with one RBI for the Mets. J.J. Putz gave up the winning run in taking the loss.
