Rod Barajas' two-run double highlighted a six-run bottom of the eighth inning, as the New York Mets defeated the Washington Nationals 8-6 on Tuesday night.

New York cashed as -140 home favorites, while the teams played OVER the 8-run total set by sportsbooks.

Jeff Francoeur also knocked in two runs for the Mets, as Raul Valdes picked up the win in relief of Jonathon Niese for New York.

Adam Dunn smacked a three-run blast for Washington, while Tyler Clippard was handed the loss after allowing the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth.
