Detroit got 32 points from Greg Monroe and another 28 points from Tayshaun Prince. Brandon Knight contributed 11 assists, while Greg Monroe cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Sacramento got 23 points from Tyreke Evans in a losing cause and another 21 points from Jason Thompson. Marcus Thornton contributed 6 assists for the Kings, while Jason Thompson had 15 rebounds.
The Pistons hit the break trailing 58-57 before taking care of business in the second half.
Next game, Detroit takes its act on the road to face Phoenix looking for another win. For Sacramento, they head home to face Boston.
