Stephen Jackson scored 27 points for Charlotte on Monday, leading the Bobcats to a 96-82 victory over Memphis at Time Warner Cable Arena.
Charlotte won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 3.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 192.5.
Charlotte got 18 points from D.J. Augustin and another 12 points from Matt Carroll. D.J. Augustin contributed 9 assists, while Boris Diaw cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
The Grizzlies got a 15-point performance from Zach Randolph, who was supported by 13 points from Mike Conley. Mike Conley had 7 assists in a losing cause for Memphis, while Zach Randolph grabbed 15 rebounds.
Charlotte led at halftime, 44-31.
Memphis won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 46-40.
Next game, Charlotte takes its act home to face Chicago looking for another win. For Memphis, they head on the road to face Detroit.
