Bryant nets 61; Lakers crush Knicks

Kobe Bryant stole the show Monday as he went for a game-high 61 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 126-117 victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Los Angeles easily covered the 6-point spread, and the 243 points sailed OVER the posted total of 223.5.

Pau Gasol added 31 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for a double-double in the win for the Lakers.

Al Harrington had 24 points with six rebounds for the Knicks, and David Lee had 22 points with 12 rebounds for a double-double in the loss.
