Nuggets vs Timberwolves Final: 130-106 - Recap
The battle between the Nuggets and Timberwolves didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Minnesota was handed a 130-106 defeat on Saturday at Pepsi Center.
Denver won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 13.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 212.5.
Ty Lawson had 37 points for Denver and J.R. Smith chipped in with 18 points. Raymond Felton had 14 assists for the Nuggets, while Kenyon Martin was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 8 boards.
Minnesota got 15 points from Martell Webster in a losing cause and another 15 points from Lazar Hayward. Jonny Flynn contributed 9 assists for the Timberwolves, while Anthony Tolliver had 7 rebounds.
Denver led at halftime, 65-51.
Denver won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 49-38.
Denver looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Warriors. The Timberwolves will aim to get back on the winning track at Phoenix.
