Hawks down Timberwolves at buzzer
Joe Johnson nailed an 18-footer at the buzzer on Thursday, lifting the Atlanta Hawks to a 90-89 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Atlanta could not cover the 9.5-point spread at home, and the 179 points were UNDER the posted total of 188.5.
Josh Smith finished with a game-high 28 points and hauled in seven rebounds for the Hawks, and Johnson finished with 21 points and nine rebounds.
Marko Jaric led the Timberwolves with 18 points, eight rebounds and nine assists in a losing effort.
