Cleveland Falls 108-83 to Suns - Recap
The battle between the Suns and Cavaliers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Cleveland was handed a 108-83 defeat on Sunday at Quicken Loans Arena.
The Suns were a 4-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 202.5.
Phoenix got 22 points from Marcin Gortat and another 22 points from Markieff Morris. Steve Nash contributed 13 assists, while Marcin Gortat cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
The Cavaliers got a 16-point performance from Kyrie Irving, who was supported by 14 points from Omri Casspi. Kyrie Irving had 4 assists in a losing cause for Cleveland, while Manny Harris grabbed 9 rebounds.
Phoenix led at halftime, 59-38.
The rebound battle favored Cleveland as they grabbed 40 boards, while Phoenix only had 39.
Phoenix looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Spurs. The Cavaliers will aim to get back on the winning track at Philadelphia.
