Ray Allen scored 22 points leading the Celtics to an 86-83 victory over Cleveland at Quicken Loans Arena on Tuesday.
Boston did not, however, defeat the Cavaliers against the spread, which closed at 3.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 184.5.
Kevin Garnett had 18 points for Boston and Paul Pierce chipped in with 12 points. Rajon Rondo had 11 assists for the Celtics, while Chris Wilcox was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Cleveland got 24 points from Kyrie Irving in a losing cause and another 13 points from Ramon Sessions. Anthony Parker contributed 5 assists for the Cavaliers, while Tristan Thompson had 10 rebounds.
Boston led at halftime, 43-38.
Cleveland won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 41-39.
Boston looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Bucks. The Cavaliers will aim to get back on the winning track at New York.
